The migration to Sonic is upon us, and it’s time to secure MOIST’s future on the best DEXes for our community.
After careful consideration, we believe Metropolis and Shadow Exchange both offer compelling value propositions for MOIST’s liquidity on Sonic.
While we wait for Shadow to launch, our liquidity on Sonic consists of about $6K in a Metropolis v2 pool, and about $3K in the TJ v2.2 concentrated liquidity pool. The concentrated liquidity pool is highly efficient, so it’s more than it seems. Most of the $45K in the Equalizer pool on FTM will move to Sonic upon Shadow’s launch, when Degen Express will migrate and lock it. The team will continue to add to liquidity on Metropolis when possible.
Why Metropolis?
Metropolis is powered by the Trader Joe v2.2 Liquidity Book (DLMM). The Liquidity Book feature allows liquidity to be concentrated into single bins, which leads to more efficient and flexible liquidity provisioning and seamless trading experiences with zero slippage and low fees.
To allow concentrated liquidity, the price curve is discretized into bins, which is similar to the tick concept in Uniswap V3. The main difference, however, is that LB uses the constant sum price formula instead of the constant product formula.
DLMM Farms are a very efficient and targeted way to incentive liquidity where it’s most needed. Metropolis is using reward hooks within a Joe v2.2 Liquidity Book Pool to incentivize specific bins with METRO or partner tokens.
As soon as you provide liquidity in these incentivized bins, you get the rewards automatically. You can claim the rewards at any time in the reward section on the detailed page or on the farm page or on your dashboard.
